and growing for five years in our spare time. This spare time will surely
vanish at the end of this year when we finish our studies. Then we will
have to find a job and start to work. There will not remain much time for
Tibia.
But we don't want this to happen!
Therefore we are thinking about working full time for Tibia and start
running Tibia commercially. Nevertheless we are looking for a solution
that is best for everyone - for you and us. There is a thread on the
general board where you can post your opinions about this. Please tell us
what you think or feel. Every idea is welcome!
We are going to start some polls in the near future to get more detailed
information about Tibia and its players. We would appreciate it if you
participate in these surveys.
Please remember that we are currently planning and that no decision has
been made.

Thank you for your numerous comments on our plans about the future of
Tibia. We are planning several improvements for Tibia once we have time to
work full time on our project: a DirectX-client with better graphics, soft
scrolling, sound, new game features (e.g. a trading dialog), a new skill
and fighting system, a larger world, better support and so on.
Unfortunately there are always people who try to steal characters of other
players. If you follow the three directions below, your character will be
safe:
# Never tell anyone your password. CIP will never ask you for your password!
# Never download or start clients or tools for Tibia which are not
released by CIP.
# Never enter a server address which is different from the one on our
website. Currently only the address server.tibia.org resp. 62.27.1.73 is
valid.
Please understand, that we cannot help you to regain any lost or hacked
characters.
